The field of nail art experienced a remarkable change when the technique of airbrushing nails was first introduced. For a nail artist, this opened a window of opportunity, for they can now go beyond the traditional nail polish which has got little and limited variations to offer. As a nail artist, there is much more flexibility when it comes to the application of designs. One can then become an artist and there is a huge room for creativity and imagination.

All this and more, and all one has to do is to get a few “tools”. These are: An airbrush machine, an airbrush stencil, a source of air like air compressor, and a range of nail colors. This technique involves attention to detail and one also gets a more polished outcome. Several designs can be used simultaneously and are often overlapped and painted in various colors to achieve a never-seen-before look. But, the flip side of this coin is that this art is no child’s play. Firstly, the quality of tools has to remain good always. And secondly, one has to have the zeal and enthusiasm along with constant motivation and determination, coupled with flair of innovation to excel in this art. As is the case with any other art, practice is the key. With practice, comes the confidence and with confidence, comes the perfection.

The right choice is a must when it comes to selecting the tools. To begin with, we take the most important tool, i.e. the airbrush. Here, control is the key. Both paint and air in an airbrush is consoled by one single trigger. Next, we require an air source. For this, an air compressor comes in handy. And it is also used more often than not.

Customer satisfaction is the key to every business and this is no different. Before one starts with the actual application, one should always ensure that the nails of their client are clean. This is done so as to ensure that any old polish that has been present is eliminated so as to make the design last long. Now, first apply the base coat. This base coat is the background shade in your design. After ensuring that the base coat has completely dried up, a white coat should be applied prior to the actual designing part. It is recommended here that one starts with a lighter color initially. This is because once a darker shade is used, it can not be lightened.

As long as one is careful in the choice of tools, is following the elementary steps to perfection and keeping the precautions in mind, they are highly unlikely to falter.

Stencils are an art as it is and for those who hate stencils because they think they are newb or they think that it makes the artist fake well thats just their ignorence, best of not to listen to them and just delete their comments. Just beleave in yourself and stand tall stencils are just a stepping stone into the real world of airbrushing!
