It just might be a one shot deal
From Waka-Jawaka(*) 1972 Frank Zappa (acoustic guitar) Tony Duran (slide guitar) Jeff Simmons (hawaiian guitar, vocals) “Sneaky Pete” Kleinow (pedal steel) Sal Marquez (trumpet, vocals) Janet Ferguson (vocals) Erroneous (electric bass, vocals) Aynsley Dunbar (drums, tambourine) If the froggy come up-a with his Satchel in his hand, Then he reachs in the front and Dump a mile of sand Across the rug, along the hall Up to the umbrella stand That you’ve been watchin’ all the time Watchin’ all the time And if a forest grows up From the dirt on the floor, Then the frog with the satchel had just Dumped beside the door. You just startin’ to get worried, You ain’t going out no more And it’s confusin’ to your mind —- Just consider this: You can be scared when it gets too real You can be scared when it gets too real But you should be diggin’ it While it’s happening. (Yes!) But you should be diggin’ it While it’s happening ’cause iy just might be A one-shot deal You can be lost And you can wanna be found. But keep an eye on that frog Whenever he jump around Just keep a-watchin’ him You oughta be watchin’ him Just keep a-watchin’ him You wanna be watchin’ him And see if he has brought along A little bag for you, rant! NO COPYRIGHT – ENTERTAIMENT PURPOSES ONLY
A rather impressive one-shot take fight scene, featuring some superb stunts from THE Tony Jaa.

Oh and when I said “you’re not going to find [more sick side guitar jams] on waka/jawaka,” I wasn’t saying that this is a bad album. That would have been a false statement.
about 1 year ago
Begining and ending of this track are a bit obnoxious IMO, but man… that jam from 1:31 to 3:01 is just sick. Kind of reminds me of the greatful dead, only it sounds good.

@donnyab
The rest of this album is nothing like this track. I’ts two extended jazz fusion jams (Big Swifty and Waka/Jawaka, both entirely instrumental) with two short songs in between, this track being one of the short ones. If you’re looking for more gliding bass/drum grooves with sick slide guitar solos, you won’t find it in waka/jawaka.

@donnyab
There is only four songs on this cd. If you like frank zappa youll like the oher three songs on this cd

@Jornev My guess is it was a way to get around Youtube blocking the audio. Unfortunate, but probably necessary.

At 1:24 the song is chopped for some reason! A part including the lyrics “but you should be digging ti while it is happening / Yes, you should be digging it / while it’s happening!” before the solo is missing.
For me it isn’t much worth listening in this imcomplete state.

@akilisatolitot He is pretty fast. Besides those old films were probably pace adjusted to make it look faster. Check out some of Tony’s stuff from the first Ong Bak film.

@GibsonSg159
i thought the cameraman had some kind of device that hangs the camera so it can tilt up and down and pan left to right freely so that the camera won’t have that struggling wave or vibration from the holding them.
