Getting A Car Carpet Repaired

A lot of people misunderstand that a ripped or dirty carpet in their car needs a full replacement. But Aaron Baird, who owns West Coast Recon, a mobile automotive reconditioning company based in southern California, says this isn’t always the case. It is possible to repair a car carpeting and even dye it to make it look new and great again.

Dirty Carpets

I’ve seen a lot of dirty car carpets that have usually been stained with tea, juice, dirt or other debris that need to be repaired. Or sometimes they are faded or have small tears. No matter what color the carpet is however, we can spray carpet dye on it in either gray or brown to restore its appearance. The process is simple and quick but dramatic, as it makes a big difference to the car’s look. For the car owner trying to sell his car, getting a car carpet repaired will make the whole car look better.

Ripped Carpets

We are able to fix carpeting with small tears. Usually, a ripped carpet needs to be replaced unless the size of the rip is around or under one inch. If people want a completely different carpet, I usually send them to an interior restoration shop. My business is mobile, so it is difficult for me to carry those materials around. I have got a big Nissan Titan with a cap, like a camper shell on the back so that I am able to go to people’s homes and fix their car’s carpets.

Carpet Mats

These days, people have carpet mats in addition to a carpet in their car. We can also redye a carpet mat to give it a new look, which will save car owners money since they don’t need to purchase a new one. If you want to make your car look new again, there is no easier and quicker way than redyeing your car’s carpet or carpet mat, which will change the entire appearance of your car, especially if it is quite stained.

At West Coast Recon, we have developed a reputation for professional auto repair through 20 years of honest service. We are a fully licensed and certified family operated business. Our mission is to provide customers with body shop quality work but at a much lower price, in much less time. Call us today to make your car look as good as it can.
